The short version: this site sets exactly one cookie, and only if you sign in. There is no tracking, advertising or analytics cookie here to opt in or out of.

Why there is no “Accept / Reject” cookie banner on this site: those controls exist to let you decide about optional, non-essential cookies, advertising and analytics trackers, mainly. Mach 9 doesn’t use any. The only cookie described below is strictly necessary to a feature you have to deliberately ask for (signing in), which every major cookie law already treats as exempt from a consent requirement. Building a banner with working “Accept” and “Reject” buttons that don’t actually turn anything on or off would be worse than no banner at all, so instead, here is the real list.

The one cookie this site sets

  • m9_session , set only when you sign in, create an account, or complete a password reset. It identifies your session so the site can keep you signed in and remember your saved careers and course progress. It is marked HTTP-only (page scripts can’t read it) and, on the live site, secure and same-site. It lasts up to 30 days of use and then expires on its own; signing out removes it immediately. If you never sign in, this site sets no cookie on your browser at all.

What this site does not use

  • No Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, TikTok Pixel, or any other analytics/advertising tracker.
  • No session-recording or heat-mapping tool.
  • No third-party advertising cookie of any kind.
  • No cookie is set just from browsing Explore, Academy, Careers, Discover or the Shop without signing in.

Checkout is someone else’s cookie

When you check out in the Shop, you are handed off to Shopify’s own hosted checkout page to pay. Whatever cookies that page sets are set on its own domain, under its own cookie and privacy policies, not this one. The same is true of any social platform (Instagram, TikTok, X) if you follow a link to it from this site.

Browser storage that isn’t a cookie

The Shop cart is kept in your browser’s local storage, not a cookie, so it stays on your device and is not sent to Mach 9’s servers until you actually check out. You can clear it any time by clearing your browser’s site data for mach9.company.
