Acceptance of these terms

By using Mach 9’s website (mach9.company and its subdomains), you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please don’t use the site. If you are under the age of majority where you live, a parent or guardian should review these terms with you, particularly the Shop and Accounts sections below.

Who this site is for

Mach 9 is an educational resource about aviation, aerospace, engineering, space and technology, aimed principally at middle- and high-school-age students, along with an apparel shop. Nothing on this site should be treated as professional engineering, aviation, medical, legal or financial advice, see Disclaimers below.

Accounts

Creating an account requires a display name, an email address you control, and a password. You are responsible for keeping your password confidential and for anything done from your account. Tell us right away if you think your account has been accessed without your permission. You can delete your own account at any time from Account settings; doing so removes your saved data as described in the Privacy Policy.

Educational content and Academy access

Academy courses, chapters and interactive models are provided for learning. Some content models real physical and engineering principles in a simplified way so they can run in a browser, and is not a substitute for a real textbook, instructor, laboratory or certification course. Where a page shows a figure marked as demonstration or placeholder data, treat it as illustrative only, not as a verified statistic.

Intellectual property

The Mach 9 name, logo, original written chapters, illustrations and site design are owned by Mach 9 or used under license, and may not be copied, redistributed or used commercially without permission. Photographs used to illustrate real historical or current events are credited to their original photographer or source at the point they appear, under the license stated there; those credits are part of complying with that license, not decoration, and should stay with the image if it is ever reused. If you believe something on this site infringes your copyright or trademark, contact us at the address below with enough detail to locate it and we will look into it.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the site to harass, threaten or impersonate anyone.
• Attempt to bypass account security, scrape the site at scale, or interfere with its normal operation.
• Use ATLAS (the Ask box) to attempt to obtain personal information about another person, or to arrange contact with a stranger.
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose.

Purchases

Shop orders are processed by Shopify’s own hosted checkout, and fulfilled by Printful as a print-on-demand partner. Placing an order means you agree to those providers’ own terms for the payment and shipping steps they handle. See the Refund & Return Policy for cancellations, damaged items and exchanges.

Third-party services and links

This site links to and, in places, relies on services we do not operate: Shopify, Printful, Anthropic, Resend, and social platforms like Instagram, TikTok and X. We are not responsible for the content, accuracy or practices of any third-party site or service, including ones a photo credit or a source citation links out to.

Disclaimers

The site, its content and ATLAS’s answers are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We make a genuine effort to keep educational content accurate and to cite real sources where a figure is presented as fact, but we do not guarantee that every statement on the site is complete, current or error-free, and content marked as demonstration or placeholder data is explicitly not a verified figure. Nothing on this site is aviation, aerospace, engineering, medical, legal or financial advice, and no interactive model or illustration should be relied on for a real engineering or safety decision.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Mach 9 is not liable for any indirect, incidental or consequential damages arising from your use of the site, including reliance on its educational content or on ATLAS’s answers. This does not limit any liability that cannot legally be limited.

Suspension and termination

We may suspend or terminate access to an account that violates these terms, particularly the acceptable-use rules above. You may stop using the site, or delete your account, at any time.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the site changes. The date at the top of this page reflects the last update; continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the revised terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles, except where local consumer-protection law requires otherwise.
